Light at the end of the Tunnel

After a solid week of working late (including the weekend), it looks like the long hours have passed. I can't say completely successfully, as the computer models I was working on turned out to be too complicated and ambitious to complete on time, and I had to fall back on much reduced models of one part (albeit the critical part) of the vessel in question, rather than the full bells and whistles version. Still, I managed today to get some of the information the client wanted, and I have another week to refine it further, but the pressure is largely off now.

Actually, I withstood it all a lot better than I thought I might. I was basically working till 9 PM, catching the GO bus to the subway, checking my e-mail and going to bed to do it all again the next day, but the lack of personal time didn't wipe me out like I thought it might. Yes, I was pretty tired, especially as I had a couple of nights of tossing and turning, but I'm catching up on the sleep now, and everything's looking a lot better. And the money due to the late hours makes up for a lot.
