Voting for Mayor

I voted in the advance poll Sunday, as I'm planning to be up in Muskoga next week on Election Day. I love the ballot system for the municipal elections. You might remember them from last time: each name has a broken arrow by it, and you fill in the arrow of your candidate. The ballot then goes though an optical scanner. If there are any problems, it gets spit out and you fill out another one. If not, your vote is instantly counted, and there's a paper copy for recount purposes. It's an absolutely first-rate system.

According to Irwin, Canada exports voting equipment to other countries. I kind of doubt that the US does much business in this.
