The Rue Morgue Halloween party was Friday night. A week early I know, but that's the only time they could get the venue they wanted, The Church on Queen East (a great location).

The evening was sponsored by Anchor Bay, which specialized in DVD releases of cult and genre films that tend to get overlooked by the big Hollywood companies, like Italian horror films. They had free food, freaks wrestling, and tricks like a guy carving a pumpkin balanced on his assistant's head with a real chainsaw, and said guy then balancing a lawnmower in the air with his teeth while said assistant then threw stuffed animals and cabbages into it.

The costumes were quite amazing. No, I didn't dress up as I have no talent for it whatsoever. But there was an amazing Davros from Dr. Who, who placed second in the costume contest, and three horror clowns in stilts, who placed first. Jen, Rue Morgue's editor, was dressed at the Baroness from G.I. Joe, and wears leather really well.

Re: Rue Morgue Halloween party

Not to my knowledge. Try the Rue Morgue website (http://www.rue-morgue.com) in a few days, there might be some up there.
