War Amps rules!

As those of you keeping track of my adventures already know, when I went out stargazing on the night of the Blackout, I lost my keys in a park near Dufferin. Today, when I went out to get the mail, there was a Purolator package for me. As I wasn't expecting any packages, I thought it was most likely a letter bomb, but my curiousity got the better of me and I opened it.

Lo and Behold, it was my keys! I had a War Amps tag on them, and they got my keys back to me. It really works! Who knew?

Man, these guys are so definitely getting my money now.

Wow... what is the War Amps, and their tag label which made it possible for your keys to actually return to you?

The War Amps is a charity who focus is helping people who have had a limb amputated. They were originally founded to help soldiers returning from WWI, but today they're active in all levels of society, and have a lot of programs to help children in particular.

instead of sending you address labels like most other charities, they offer a key tag service. For no charge they'll send you a tags to put on your keychain. If you lose your keys and someone finds them, they can just drop the keys in a mailbox, Canada post will deliver then to the War Amps, and they will ship your keys back to you. According to the letter they included with mine, they've returned nearly a million sets since 1946.
