The next step?

Burt Rutan, the aircraft genius behind the Voyager, which flew around the world on one tank of gas, has unveiled his reusable sub-orbital spacecraft he's going to use to try and win the X-Prize. Full article here.

The X-Prize is a privately funded competition which will pay $10 million to the first group to take three people up to 100 km, and repeat it in the same vehicle within two weeks (see details here.) The big Canadian effort is the da Vinci Project I certainly wish them the best, but think that Burt's craft has the greater future potential. I'm hoping they both fly.
