Merril Flea Market

Continuing to play catch up...

The 3rd Friends of the Merril SF Flea Market (which I organized) was held last Saturday at the Toronto Reference Library, and it went very well, I'm quite pleased. All of our vendors showed up this year (had some no shows last year so I made sure everyone confirmed the week before, on pain of losing there place) and we had great traffic thru the room, our best yet, especially in the morning. I think the show is getting some legs under it now, and we're figuring out where we need to advertise to get the people in.

Feedback from the vendors has generally been quite good. A couple of people have said they would come back next year but don't need to because they sold so much this year! I hope they mention the event to their friends then.

Of course I got some odds and ends myself. The great thing about an event like this is that I can get VHS for a buck or two, and then burn the show onto DVD at home so the tape isn't occupying precious shelf space.
