Wicked (redux)

Saw Wicked last night, and it was every bit as good the second time around (first time in London at the end of September). Shoshana Bean was very strong as Elphaba. I didn't warm at first to Megan Hilfy's Glinda, as I thought she over did the "baby-doll" aspects of the character in the first half of the show, but she nailed it in the second half. Helen Dallimore (from the London performance) comes out slightly ahead, but I suppose you never forget your first Glinda.

PJ Benjamin was the Wizard was fabulous, and the goat-headed Dr. Dillamond was a wonderful K. Todd Freeman, likely best know here as Mr. Trick on Buffy. He was a favourite of this Brain Trust sitting behind me, who got up to leave at the intermission and only sat down again after intense explanations from their friends that "No, the show isn't over!".
