Here in London!

Arrived in London yesterday after a long, boring, uneventful flight. Only point of interest was I had told owlfish that I was coming into Heathrow, got the detailed direction to their flat, and only realized at Pearson that i was flying into Gatwick instead. Fortunately, getting the train from Gatwick to Victoria Station was dead easy, and owlfish's directions were fine from there.

I was seriously jet-lagged yesterday (arrived 9 /am local time), but didn't get any real sleep on the plane, so I only managed to go grocery-shopping with owlfish (London is expensive!) and saw the latest episodes of Spooks (MI-5 in North /America) with colins_journal before passing out. Slept very late today, so spent the day walking along the Thames, and taking in a small part of the British Museum, which absolutely lives up to its reputation. You spend your life hearing the phrase "Rosetta Stone" as a metaphor, and then here's the actual thing right in from of you! (Surrounded by Japanese tourists). Plan to pick up the chocolate versin later.

And how much do I love the fact that there's a comic book store directly across the street from the British Museum?

By wild and wacky coincidence, both Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett have events in town next week, and I've got tickets to both!
