Odds and Sods

Feeling much better today. Ever since Saturday I've felt weirdly out of sorts, with no energy and my whole chest area aching, so it hurt to swallow (my throat didn't hurt, just my chest).

I did an lot of walking Saturday, more so than usual for me, so maybe that and the sun and not drinking enough water had something to do with it. I ended up down at Harbourfront with Janet to check out the taiko drumming and martial arts demos, which were part of the Dim Sum Festival. They were all put on by kids however, so they weren't super-amazing, but still better than I could do. After than we headed up to Catherine's for her Lunar Landing Day Party which was fun. Also in attendance were benet and commodorified, who I hadn't seen for a while.

Sunday I started feeling crappy so after a few errands I spent most of it watching Princess Nine, an anime series about a girl's baseball team. I love anime on my giant TV.

Monday I was feeling better enough that I made it into work in the afternoon (after more Princess Nine and some Duck Dodgers in the morning), but mainly so I could enjoy the air conditioning. I got nothing even vaguely related to work done and I'm going to put it down as a sick day.

Yesterday I had perked up enough that I made it to work, and in the evening went over to O'Grady's at 9 PM for a "Yay, the Space Shuttle Launched!" pub night. Only most of the people who had already showed up where getting ready to leave. No staying power, the young space cadets of today. But all was not lost, as Daniel (who had arrived late, like me), suggested going over to Mullin's on Bay street (better ambiance) and we were joined by a few of his friends. So that was fun.

I'm glad you are feeling better. This month has just worn everyone out! I'm feeling better too, but I'm not out of the woods yet...
