Muppets and Goodbye

Had owlfish over Monday, her (almost) last night in Toronto, as she had just decided to change her ticket to leave Wednesday, to give her an extra day to pack and clean. I have recorded the Muppet Wizard of Oz, which she wanted to see, a few weeks back and this was our first (and last) time to check it out. Also, I wanted her to see my new TV, as she's been after me for quite some time to get a new one, and I wanted her it appreciate it at least once.

The MWoO wasn't bad, but not a Muppet best. Miss Piggy had some great costumes however. We got into a discussion about when Jim Henson had died, owlfish maintaining it was sometime in the last 3-4 years, I thinking it had been longer than that. As my ISP is currently at war with Bell, we couldn't look it up then, but I walked her back to her place afterwards to pick up some surplus magazine holders she need to get rid of, and found to our astonishment he passed away in 1990! While neither of us has good time sense, I can't believe we were both that much off.

And speaking of off, she's gone from T.O. today, on a small odyssey of hopping from family to conferences before settling down in London with Colin in about a month. Sigh. Well, visiting distance friends is what Air Miles were created for.

Oh, and the Muppet Show will finally start coming out a season box sets in the fall.

Yeah, I remember being in Grade 10 or 11 and going to the provincial high school drama festival (we did The Taming of the Shrew), and one of the topics of discussion during the bus trip was how brilliant Jim Henson had been.

Hi Donald. Any chance I could borrow that off you sometime?
I am both an OZ and Muppets fanatic. :)
