Survived

Anime North is over for another year, Thank Gnu.

Overall, the con went well, and I'm quite pleased. Paid attendance looks to be in the 8800-9000 range, a thousand more than last year.

Usual number of at-the-con problems, but everything got handled. Worst thing was the elevators and a significant part of the AC at the Doubletree failing Saturday afternoon (due to a broken water pipe that had nothing to do with the con). The elevators got going again after a few hours, but the AC is apparently going to take weeks to fix. They hope to have it done by Toronto Trek.

More con stories when I've caught up on my sleep.

And thank you for doing a great job. This being the first AN I've actually been at for the entire weekend (my previous experience being all of five minutes to drop off a pile of flyers), I didn't know where I was supposed to be, where to get a badge, or any of that stuff. You were very helpful.

I certainly hope so... though nexstarman is always complaining about it being too cold in the video room, I can't spend the entire weekend in there. I have work to do in the rest of the hotel and two parties to host.

(And I hope we don't lose the elevators too... I don't want to have to schlep up seven floors to the party suite.)

Happy ending, good con, sleep well.
