Anime North 2005

Well, AN2005 is now less than six months away (whimper) so it's time to start getting serious with the planning. And the last six months have been so peaceful...

That said, things look good space-wise with the Toronto Congress Centre and the Doubletree Hotel immediately across the street (which makes things so much simpler than the just-down-the-street-across-the-bridge hotel we had to use this year), and the guest negotations are going well too. We'll be doing our usual major re-launch of the website in early January with all the updated info.

Frankly, after having to deal with SARS in 2003 and losing our old hotel (the Regal Constellation) and having to practically re-vamp the whole con to work in a convention center (the TCC) in 2004, not to mention that the daughter of one of the major organizers broke her leg six weeks out from it, we're due for a year in which slightly less goes wrong in the run-up to the convention. So far the signs are promising. Maybe I'll actually get to see something at the con in 2005. Although I'm not holding my breath.

Heh, don't forget last year's blackout at the start of the Masquerade, when Zeus was angered by the German Hamtaro skit. Speaking of which, the entire Masquerade is available for download.
